I just wanted to say to whoever did the drifting for this video:

Puh- LEASE.

If I sat down for 10 minutes, I could recreate all of the "drifts" in the video... wtf is that crap? I'd be embarassed if I put that video on the internet and called it drifting!

This inspires me to make a video of myself drifting... but, my only acceptable release is to drift a full course... anyone can drift a corner after a bunch of tries. But to get every corner in a course, that's hard. I have yet to do it perfectly which is why I never put a video on the internet (besides, no space to host more than a few second clips). But this video has indeed given me confidence... so I'll do my best and put it up.

Any preferences on what course and car perhaps?

Also... I might need help hosting... any takers? ;D

Anyways, I agree. There was some real talent on the GT3 boards who shined pretty bright during the drift offs. One did some impressive stuff in Cote de Azur while drifting every corner non-stop.

It's not that hard to miss the apex, bottom out on the dirt, and after 20 tries actually do a decent drift.

I'm one to talk though. I've made no vids.

Perhaps a better question is why the hell would anyone post a video of themselves drifting a car in a game?

For the record I know a few grown men who have done professional-quality GT drift videos. It's not just kids.

Eh.... because it's fun. And/or there's a good chance we GT gamers have shit else to do.:P

Also, drifting on GT (since it's SUPER hard compared to other games) fine tunes your turning skills and throttle manipulation. Well atleast from what I gathered after I got bored of playing GT3 for three years and decided to randomly drift on there.

I understand drifting around in GT4... I still don't get the videos.

...although I never could get the hang of fake driving.

i do better drifts on accident... why would he put the ones that had him goin' off course? thats unprofessional. i liked the song though, but even that only got me through 2 minutes.

i know kids in parking lots who can pull off better in real life. but its not like i can do it, even in GT4, so i shouldn't talk.

and if you are doing to made a drifting video, pull it off on suzuka, i dont care what car you use though.

What possessed this fool to record that? That wasn't in the least bit impressive. I'm pretty sure Mike aka [info]mkiv_supra and myself could do better drifts in our sleep.

That's why I wish I had video capture hardware so I could post my stuff because I have stored perfect replays of drifts around Laguna Seca, Midfield Raceway, and Grand Valley in cars nobody would think about drifting.

Watching that was just insulting.

lol thats funny. on almost all the "drifts" he does he has almost no angle to them. the white 300z was rather amusing too haha oh man. suddenly i feel good at drifting in GT4 with the controller /flex altho im not that consistent with it but still :p atleast i have angle to mine hah
